Contrast: Why is it necessary?
- Creates interest
- Directs eye towards the main Focal Point
- Reason we can see and therefore the viewer can react to what they see
- Without contrast, the audience loses track visually
- Ways to create Contrast:
- Light vs Dark
- Changes in Scale
- Differences in Shape
- Complex vs Simple
- Focus vs Out of Focus (Bokeh)

Composition: What is it?
- An arrangement of Lights and Darks, an organization of Shapes varying in Complexity and Proportions
- Big Picture vs the Individual Pieces
- Framing, Blocking, Graphic Design
- KEEP IN SIMPLE: Rule of Thirds, Golden Ratio, Leading Lines.
